To save and improve lives — through exemplary education, research and patient care.

Our mission — to save and improve lives — is simple in words, but extensive in impact. Because when only 20% of a person’s health is what happens at a doctor’s office, we know we need to do more. That’s why our mission extends well beyond the walls of our hospitals and clinics to our communities’ social events, food sources, employment opportunities and more.

Our Vision

We will be the premier and transformational academic health system for Missouri.

Academic health is built on three pillars: patient care, research and teaching the next generation of health professionals. We strive for and build upon excellence in all three, not just for mid-Missouri, but for all Missourians and beyond.
